The Oakland Boogaloo BBQ
This is an annual family friendly event. Everyone is welcome. This is the event that dancers from all over the Bay Area, LA, Northern California will come to and celebrate all things dance. The venue is held from 12 -7, at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park – 2777 Middle Harbor Rd, Oakland, CA 94607. So if you want a change of a pace, at a venue that sports breathtaking panoramic views, right off of the water. Then this is the place for you. Dance floor, DJ, and food vendors will be provided. Be ready to get down.

The Black Mechanics
The Black Mechanics was a group out of Oakland in the mid 70’s. The leader of the group was Darrell Newberry, who is the first person on the left. As we find out the names of the other group member we will post them.

What happens when you combine Messengers, Playboyz, and PrimeTime Players? Even the station manager Leonard Stephen joined in the fun. This was filmed in Oakland at Comcast 78 in April of 2015.
Playboy’s Popping Cypher
It’s Saturday July 18th. That can only mean one thing. It’s time for the PBI’s popping cypher. A unique open cypher that was run in conjunction with the Style Elements event, at the Roosevelt community center located San Jose. Prime Time Players was honor to perform at this event.

Oakland Boogaloo Conservatory brings you The Black Messengers. A historical perspective. Chuck Powell is interview by OurTv’s Leonard Stephens. An Oakland Boogaloo himself out of Oakland High school from the class of 79.
Charles Powell started dancing in 1971. Two time winners of the Gong Show, multiple appearances since the early 70’s.He is an active pioneer of true Boogaloo out of Oakland California.
